PhysicsLAB Lab
A Simple Microscope

Construction:

Both the objective lens and the eyepiece lens are converging lenses.
    Use three colors to carefully construct the rays that form the final image for the object given.
    Carefully label the first image as I1 and the final image as I2.

Measurements and Analysis:

Measure the height of each image, I1 and  I2, as well as the original object, O.
    Measure di and do for each individual lens.
    Calculate the final magnifications for the lens system using the following ratios:

M1 = Mmicroscope = | I2 / O |
M2 = Mmicroscope = (Mobjective lens )(Meyepiece lens ) where Mlens = | di / do |

Conclusions:

Calculate the error for this lab as a percent difference between your two magnification values.
